Locals lined up at the start of the City Parks Foundation’s “Family Adventure Race” in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park last Sunday, Aug. 12. The parent-child race combined basic exercises and sports skills on a course featuring 12 activity stations. Activities included a javelin throw, jump rope, basketball free throw, hurdles, and bench push-ups.
