Fund-raiser for Filmmaker

Ridgewood’s Rudy’s Pastry Shop was the site of a fund-raiser last Friday night, Sept. 21, for a local filmmaker who recently produced an award-winning documentary. As noted, the benefit supported the work of Erinnisse Heuer (second from right), a neighborhood resident who produced and codirected the documentary Spirit/Will/Loss. The film, which is about six artists who overcame tragedy to continue creating artwork, won the top prize at the West Coast Documentary and Reality Conference (WESTDOC) “PitchFest 2012” in California.
