Carolyn Maloney, State Sen. Michael Gianaris, Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall and the Queens Library dedicated a site for the new state-of-the-art library branch at Hunters Point on Friday, Oct. 5. The $28 million library will feature an environmentally friendly layout, a rooftop terrace and panoramic views of the New York City skyline. During the ceremony, Van Bramer and Marshall joined Queens Library President and CEO Tom Galante and students from nearby P.S. 78 in planting “trees of knowledge” which will grow along with the new library.
