Prominent members of the Latino community in Queens were honored by City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer (fourth from left) during his third-annual Hispanic Leadership Awards ceremony at De Mole restaurant in Woodside last Tuesday night, Oct. 16. As noted, over 100 people attended the event. Among the individuals recognized at the ceremony were City Council Member Julissa Ferreras (not pictured), Judge Carmen Velasquez, P.S. 150 Principal Carmen Parache, Woodside on the Move Executive Director Adrian Bordoni, community activists Luis DeMartino and Maria Vielma and St. Teresa’s Church pastoral minister Norberto Saldana.
