Police Release Leads To Man Who Robbed Flushing Parlor
An East Elmhurst man was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 21 and charged with robbery after an employee of a Great Neck massage parlor recognized his face from a police press release.
Zhordrack Blodywon, 40, of 98th Street was also charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property stemming from the robbery of a Flushing parlor earlier that day. Although reports claimed that he is a suspect in the sex assault of a 55- year-old female inside a commercial establishment on Union Street in Flushing at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 17, he has not been charged with any such crimes, according to the Queens County District Attorney’s Office.
According to police sources, a man resembling Blodywon was caught on camera after the sex assault and a media release was issued asking residents who see a person matching his description to call 911.
Then on Saturday, Oct. 20 at ap- proximately 1 a.m., hours, police responded to the 911 call of a robbery of a massage parlor located near the site of the Wednesday crime. A store employee reportedly told members of the 109th Precinct that a man resembling Blodywon’s description walked into the location carrying a gun, took two cell phones and fled.
During the investigation, a Crime Stoppers tip reportedly came into the NYPD naming the suspect.
Later that day, at 1:10 p.m., Blodywon reportedly walked into a massage parlor at 107 Northern Blvd. in Great Neck, Long Island. An employee of the business recognized him from the media release and called the police; Blodywon then reportedly fled on a bus. The Nassau County Police Department located the bus and arrested Blodywon; police reported that he had possession of a BB gun and a hunting knife.
Blodywon appeared in court on Oct. 22 and is being remanded. His next court date is Nov. 5.
