Nursing students from Long Island University recently sat down with State Sen. Joseph Addabbo at his Middle Village office to express support for the Safe Patient Handling Act, legilsation to create patient handling policies for all health care facilities in New York State. As noted, Addabbo is a cosponsor of the bill. He noted the legislation would enable health care facilities to use technology to their advantage in safely handling patients of all conditions.
