Six distinguished women were honored during City Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer’s Women’s History Month commemoration held last Saturday, Apr. 5, at his Sunnyside office. Van Bramer is pictured with the event’s honorees: Eve Guillergan of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York; Monica Gutierrez, education director of Queens Borough President Melinda Katz’s office; Lynn Lobell, managing director of the Queens Council on the Arts; Annie Norman, Queensbridge resident and community activist; Rachel Thieme, executive director of the Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District; and Rebecca Trent, owner of The Creek and the Cave in Long Island City.
