LILLIAN SCHENDORF (nee MANTIONE) of Ridgewood passed on
Tuesday, May 6, at an impressive age of 92 years old. She was born to the late
Joseph and Sadie Mantione on December 24, 1921 and married to the late
George Schendorf. Lillian was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She leaves her children Barbara Hoercher (late son-inlaw Paul Hoercher) Joseph Schendorf and daughter-in-law, Lydia Rubino, her
brothers Charles and Vincent Mantione, six grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. She has now joined her son, George Schendorf and siblings
Marion Giglio, Josie Penzillo and Joseph Mantione. Her spirited, funny
personality and love of her family will be impossible to replace and are
imbedded in the hearts of those she touched forever. Services were offered at

warrant officer in the U.S. Navy, where he retired in 1972. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis
