LILLIAN SCHENDORF (nee MANTIONE) of Ridgewood passed on
Tuesday, May 6, at an impressive age of 92 years old. She was born to the late
Joseph and Sadie Mantione on December 24, 1921 and married to the late
George Schendorf. Lillian was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and
great-grandmother. She leaves her children Barbara Hoercher (late son-inlaw Paul Hoercher) Joseph Schendorf and daughter-in-law, Lydia Rubino, her
brothers Charles and Vincent Mantione, six grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. She has now joined her son, George Schendorf and siblings
Marion Giglio, Josie Penzillo and Joseph Mantione. Her spirited, funny
personality and love of her family will be impossible to replace and are
imbedded in the hearts of those she touched forever. Services were offered at
theWalsh-LaBella & Son Funeral Home, Glendale, followed by interment at
St. John Cemetery, Middle Village.

BRUCE CHASSEN died on Saturday, May 10, at the age of 66. He was the
beloved husband of Maria A. Chassen, loving father of Donna, Danielle,
Deanna and Daniel, father-in-law of Assi, Peter Allman Peter Brill and Kristi
Chassen and cherished grandfather of Dana Jean and Olivia Marie. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be offered this morning, Thursday, May 15, at 9:45 a.m.
at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by cremation at Fresh
Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral

LORRAINE D. ESPOSITO died on Sunday, May 11, at the age of 78. She
was the wife of the late Michael Esposito, loving mother of Michael Esposito
and the late Debra Esposito, father-in-law of Robin and cherished grandmother
of Ashley, Michael, Jennifer and Joseph. She is also survived by numerous

nieces, nephews and friends. AMass of Christian Burial will be offered tomorrow morning, Friday, May 16, at 9:45

LOUIS MARRERO died on Saturday, May 10, at the age of 71. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Marrero,
loving father of Louis D. Marrero, Lissette Lopez-Gellys and Aimee Lopez, father-in-law of Denise and Antonio,
cherished grandfather of Gabrielle, Noah, Kevin and Louis and dear brother of Gilbert, Albert, Eddie, Lilliana and the
late Norma Iris. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marrero was a U.S. Army
veteran who served during the Vietnam War. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, May 14, at St.
Stanislaus Church, Maspeth, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of

MINNIE GRAZIOSI died on Saturday, May 10, at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Anthony Graziosi, loving
mother of Deborah Graziosi and Diane Braccia, mother-in-law of Peter, cherished grandmother of David and Brooke
and dear sister of Daniel Polidoro and the late Babe Fave and Vincent Pepe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered
today, Thursday, May 15, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Woodbury, L.I., followed by interment at St. John Cemetery,

CARLMARIANO of Brooklyn died on Friday, May 2, at the age of 80. A native of Brooklyn, he was the beloved
friend of Eleanor and dear grandfather of Donna Mohr. Mariano was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served as chief
warrant officer in the U.S. Navy, where he retired in 1972. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis
College in 1989 and was employed with the Brooklyn Union Gas Co. before retiring in 1992. Services were offered

DOLORES A. PAGE of Glendale died on Tuesday, May 13, at the age of 81. A native of Brooklyn, she was the
beloved wife ofAlbert Page and devoted mother of Edward Page, Dolores M. Coli, Joan Deal, Lorraine Marciano and

CHARLES J. MAURER died on Monday, May 5, at the age of 71. He was the beloved brother of Anne N. Maurer
and Anthony Maurer, brother-in-law of Marie, cherished uncle of Anthony Michael and Michelene and Christopher
and great-uncle of Anthony Albert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered this morning, Thursday, May 8, at 9:45

EPIEANIA MELENDEZ of Brooklyn died on Sunday, May 4, at the age of 85. A native of Puerto Rico, she was the
devoted mother of Rafael Melendez, Elsie Sola, Nelita Melendez, Victor Melendez and Diana Melendez and dear
sister of Ezekiel Fontanez and Felicita Fontanez. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

JOSEPH V. DECOLA died on Monday, April 28, at the age of 92. He was the husband of the late Marilyn DeCola,
loving father of Linda De La Garza and father-in-law of Mario, cherished grandfather of Marissa and Sam Byram and
Dana and Brian Murphy and great-grandfather of Christina, Matthew and Owen. He was a U.S. Army veteran who

ROBERT HOSTOSKI of Glendale died on Monday, May 5, at the age of 81. A native of Astoria, he was the beloved
husband of Antonia (nee Oldhafer), devoted father of Laurie Waller and Lisa Maulella and dear brother of Michael
Hostoski, Jean Cettina and Carol Baruffalo. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Services were offered at George
