The Empire Dragon Boat Team, in conjunction with the Parks Department, kicked off its 2014 competitive rowing season by cleaning up around Flushing Bay, where its practice is held. Comprised entirely of female cancer survivors, the team launches regular practices from the World’s Fair Marina. Volunteers were rewarded with boat rides led by the dragon boat team members.
