A 58-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in South Ozone Park just hours after another man was fatally hit on the same roadway, according to police.
The incident happened about 10 a.m. on North Conduit Avenue near 130th Street, cops said.
The victim, identified by police as Robert Moczo of Manhattan, was trying to cross North Conduit Avenue, and was halfway across the street, when he attempted to turn around and come back, officials said.
He was then struck by a Toyota Avalon sedan.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition where he later died of his injuries around 2:20 p.m., according to officials.
Police said the driver remained on the scene of the accident and the investigation is ongoing.
North Conduit Avenue was the site of another fatal crash earlier the same morning when a bicyclist was struck in a hit-and-run near 225th Street at about 5 a.m.
