JONATHAN MATTHEW SCHUSTER
of Palmerton, Pa., formerly of
Glendale, died suddenly on Friday,
June 13, at the age of 31. Born in
Brooklyn on September 7, 1982, he
was the beloved son of Karen J. Smith
of Kresgeville, Pa. and John Schuster
of Phoenix, Ariz. He was a decorated
U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army
veteran who served tours of duty in
Iraq. He is survived by sons Matthew
Michael and Ryan John Schuster,
maternal grandmother Ednarose
Smith of Stroudsburg, Pa., paternal
grandmother Louise Schuster of
Ridgewood, siblings Jason and
Amelia Schuster of Kunkletown; Thomas Schuster of Kresgeville; Christine
and Brad Kuntzman of Kresgeville; and Kara and Travis Kern of
Kresgeville, aunt and godmother Maureen Baer of Stroudsburg, uncle and
godfather Paul Bauer of Cresco, Pa.; nine cousins and three nephews. He
was preceded in death by grandfathers William Schuster and Bernard Smith.

EUGENE LATERZA died on Friday, July 4, in Old Bridge, N.J. at the age
of 89. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Laterza and loving uncle of
numerous nieces and nephews. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served
during World War II. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered this
morning, Thursday, July 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Glendale,
followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ANGUSAPALAN SABARATNAM died on Sunday, July 6, at the age of
57. He was the beloved husband ofAmaravathyAngusapalan, loving father
ofAnusha, Kuylini and Mithuna, cherished grandfather of Kulali, Yathavan,
Kishan, Sarnjit and Sanchana, devoted son of Nagaratnam and dear brother
of Mouly, Jegan, Sambanthan, Ratha, Kamaleswary and Ragini. Services
were offered on Tuesday, July 8, at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle
Village.

CECILE LASIS died on Saturday, July 5, at the age of 87. She was the
wife of the late Albert Lasis, loving mother of Karen Timko and Kenneth
Lasis, mother-in-law of Richard and Irena and cherished grandmother of

PAULA. LOJEK of Ridgewood died on Friday, July 4, at the age of 57. A
native of Queens, he was the beloved husband of Denise and devoted father
of Richard Lojek and Denise Lojek. AMass of Christian Burial was offered

JOSEPH ANTHONY SIMPSON, 86, of Whiting, N.J. passed away
Saturday, June 21, at Crestwood Manor Healthcare Center in Whiting. Born
and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Brick before moving to Whiting in
2010. Joseph was a Vice-President of Societe Generale Corporate and
Investment Bank in Manhattan, NY. He was a U.S. Navy Reservist. He was
a member of the Sacred Heart Choir and the St. Pancras Choir, both in
Glendale, NY and the Lions Head Theater Group in Brick. Joseph was a
communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
He was predeceased by his brother, James Simpson in 1982. He is
survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Louisa; two daughters and sons-inlaw, Cecelia and Pierre LePostollec of Ridgewood, NJ and Doreen and
Anthony Pagnotta of Mineola, NY; one son, Joseph J. Simpson and his
partner, Amelia of Howell Twp, NJ; seven grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral

MARYT. MOORE died on Sunday, June 29, at the age of 86. She was the
wife of the late Michael Moore, loving mother of John and Susan Moore;
Kevin and Carol Moore; Mary M. Moore; Tommy Moore; the late Michael
Moore; and Patrick Jr. and Shirley Moore, cherished grandmother of Brian,
Colleen, Kevin, John Jr., Connor, Kelsey and Christopher, dear sister of
Daniel and Frances Hourihan and sister-in-law of Nellie Hourihane. She is
also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady
of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond

KATA KOLTOVSKA of Glendale died on Wednesday, June 25, at the age of 87. A native of Carlija, Yugoslavia, she
was the beloved wife of Vidan Koltovski, devoted mother of Menka Koltovska, Verka Koltovska, Trajan Koltovski and
Cenko Koltovski and dear sister of Dusan Vrtkovski, Blagoja Vrtkovski, Mitra Talevska and Verka Talevska. She is
also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood

PATRICK J. CASEY died on Thursday, June 26, at the age of 96. A native of Ballymahon, County Longford, Ireland,
he was the husband of the late Agnes Casey and dear brother of Thomas Casey and Colette O’Kelly. He is also survived
by numerous loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He was a lifetime member of the Pioneers Association
