Enjoy a ‘night Out’ with Local Police

Community Events Across The Area

Fighting crime, building community harmony and having fun are themes of National Night Out Against Crime events that local police precincts across the Times Newsweekly coverage area are holding this Tuesday night, Aug. 5.

All are invited to enjoy the block party-style events held at public plazas, most of which will feature free food and entertainment, rides for children, crime prevention tips and health screenings.

Held in 49 of 50 states (Texas holds their National Night Out in October), the nationwide event aims to strengthen the bond between local law enforcement and the communities they serve.
