On Saturday, the Flux Factory presents an evening of films exploring the line between comedy and video art.
Gallows Humor includes work that doesn’t fit neatly into either category, ranging from the web-series Zhe Zhe’s absurdist take on sitcoms to Baseballs: Family Outing, by video artists Josh and Zak Sandler, whose humor is constantly undercut by the awkwardness of the situation.
The program is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m. There is a $5 suggested donation for the filmmakers.
Flux Factory is located at 39-31 29th St. in Long Island City.
