The ZAC Camp held a gold medal awards ceremony at Variety Boys and Girls Club in Long Island City Thursday, July 31. The camp was a four day event that taught children the importance of water safety through swimming classes, hands on activities and classroom curriculum. Karen and Brian Cohn founded The ZAC Foundation after the loss of their son Zachary when he drowned as a result of being entrapped in the suction of a swimming pool drain. The ZAC Foundation is devoted to educating the public on the importance of water safety to prepare children and their families for a lifetime of safety.
