Cops Seek Assailant In Rego Park Attack
Law enforcement agents seek the attacker who punched a 20-year-old man in the face as a subway train arrived at the 63rd Drive station in Rego Park last month, it was reported.
According to the criminal complaint, the assault allegedly occurred at 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 23 within the 112th Precinct as the victim was traveling on a Forest Hills-bound R train when he was struck in the face by the suspect.
The suspect (at right) is described by police as a white male in his late 20’s to 30’s, 5’7″ tall, weighing 170 lbs. and was last seen wearing a pink shortsleeve Polo shirt, white, pink and gray stripped shorts, with a backpack over his shoulders.
After punching the victim, the suspect fled on foot toward the street, police stated. The victim was not hospitalized and did not sustain any serious injuries, it was noted.
No words were exchanged between the victim and suspect prior to the assault, police said.
Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect.
