DIANE FORMAN of Ridgewood died on Monday, September 22, at
the age of 67. She was the beloved wife of Christopher Forman and
devoted mother of Brian, Christopher and Nadine. Services were
offered at graveside atAll Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, under the
direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave.,
Glendale.

ELLEN D’ANDREA MISCHLER died on Wednesday, September
17, at the age of 57. Aresident of Fresh Meadows and former resident
of Glendale and Maspeth, she is survived by her loving sister, Diane
Klett, brother-in-law Richard Klett and her niece and goddaughter
Jessica Klett. She is also survived by many family members and
friends. Services were offered at George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41
Cooper Ave., Glendale, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village.

ANTHONY “ANTON” POSAVETZ died on Friday, September 19,
at the age of 100. He was the beloved husband of Mary M. Posavetz,
loving father of Richard and Susan Posavetz; Virginia and Jack
McCarthy; and Marilyn Posavetz, cherished grandfather of Elizabeth
and Joe; Mary and Michael, April; and Michael and Lauren, greatgrandfather of Victoria Rose, Joseph and Sarah and dear brother of
Loretta Rapatski. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during
World War II. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday,
September 23, at St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment
at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I., under the direction of
Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ANTHONYW. SIMONE died on Saturday, September 6, at the age
of 82. Born in Brooklyn on December 4, 1931, he fought in the Korean
War and earned a Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, a
United Nations Service medal and a National Defense Service medal.
He worked six years with the Chrysler Corporation and a combined 40
years as an insurance and real estate broker. He raised his family in
Queens and was the beloved husband of Rose Simone (nee Ganci),
loving father of Phil and Trudy Simone, Louise Maniscalco and Brian
Hauenstein and Denise and Dan Mallamaci, loving grandfather to
Janine, Joe, Matthew, Alexandra, Anthony, Stephen, Natalie and
Matthew, proud great-grandfather of Mackenzie and Gracie, cherished
brother of Phyllis and Tony Tramonte and Jerry and Dottie Simone. He
is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family
members and friends. Arrangements were under the direction of
Hillebrand Funeral Homes Inc., 63-17 Woodhaven Blvd., Rego Park.

MARTY GIOVE died on Thursday, September 18, at the age of 76.
He was the beloved husband of Suzanne Jensen Giove, loving father
of Michael, Martin Jr., Thomas, Ann Marie and the late Richard,
cherished grandfather of Thomas, Kevin, Anthony and Aaron, dearest
brother of Elaine and Carl Catalano and the late Ben Giove and loving
uncle of Christine, Carlo and Melissa. He was a dear friend to many.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the National Guard. A
Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, September 22, at St.
Adalbert’s Church, Elmhurst, followed by interment at St. Charles
Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Papavero Funeral

77. He was the beloved husband of Zoraida Mendez, loving father of
Jorge Mendez Jr. and dear brother of Alba Mendez. Services were

VICTORIA CULICELLI died on Tuesday, September 16, at the
age of 92. She was the wife of the late Orlando Joseph Culicelli,
loving mother of Lois Culiceli and sister of the late Louis Vitale.
She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. A

St. Frances de Chantal Church, Wantagh, L.I., followed by interment

ANTON KRESSE of Ridgewood died on Friday, September 19, at
the age of 85. A native of Maser, Gottschee, Yugoslavia, he was the
beloved husband of Ottilie, devoted father of Walter Kresse and
Henry Kresse and brother of the late Albert Kresse. He is also
survived by four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was
offered at St. Brigid Church, Brooklyn, followed by interment at

KARL W. MAHLMANN of Ridgewood died on Sunday,
September 14, at the age of 97. A native of Brooklyn, he was the
beloved husband of Aidee Vera. He was the oldest living Fire
Department retiree and a U.S. Army veteran who served during
World War II. Services were offered at Morton Funeral

followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village.

HERTA MEDITZ of Ridgewood died on Tuesday, September 16,
at the age of 62. A native of Brooklyn, she was the loving daughter
of Ida Meditz. She was a member of the Gottscheer Gesanguerein
and KUV Kranken Unterstittsung Verein. A Mass of Christian Burial

MARY ANN RILEY (nee LANNIG) of Baton Rouge, La. and
Ardmore, Okla., and formerly of Middle Village, died on Saturday,
August 30, at the age of 84. She was the beloved mother of John
Riley, Kathy Hernandez, Mary Parker and the late Peter Riley,
mother-in-law of Susan Riley, Brian Hernandez, William Parker and
Laura Riley, cherished grandmother of Peyton and Rachel Riley,
Lindsay and Megan Weaver, Hope Hernandez, Will, Laura and
Emily Parker. She is also survived by John B. Riley, the father of
her children, and his wife Carole. In addition to her parents, Peter
Lannig and Mary Lannig (nee Schmitt), she was predeceased by her
sisters Marguerite Krumm and RoseMarie Lannig and brother
George Lannig. Services were offered at graveside at St. John
Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Schwille Funeral
Home, 66-32 Myrtle Ave., Glendale.

of 84. She was the wife of the late Joseph Tuszynski, loving mother
of William Tuszynski and Robert Tuszynski, mother-in-law of
Rebecca Spotts-Tuszynski, cherished grandmother of Hannah and
Daniel Sullivan and Laura and Sokol Tico and great-grandmother
of James and Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered
tomorrow, Friday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert’s Church,
Elmhurst, followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle

TERESE ROBERTS of Glendale died on Monday, September 8, at
the age of 85. A native of Williamsburg, she was the wife of the late
Bob, devoted mother of Linda and Paul, daughter of the late Mary
and Edward and sister of the late Dolores. She is also survived by
granddaughter Alisa, two nieces, three nephews and was grandma to
her pets Smokey Joe and Cuzzy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
offered on Friday, September 26, at 10:15 a.m. at St. Matthias
Church, Ridgewood, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond
Crematory, under the direction of funeral director Richard Sorice.

DOLORES RIZZOTTO, former district manager for Queens
Community Board 2, died on Friday, September 12, at the age of 70
following a long battle against cancer. She retired in 2006 after
spending 15 years leading the board that covers parts of Long Island

City, Maspeth, Sunnyside and Woodside. She is survived by sons Michael and Robert and grandsons
Anthony and Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, September 20, at St. Leo’s
Church, Corona, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Flushing, under the direction of Edward

VINCENT CARIDI died on Tuesday, September 9, at the age of 93. He was the husband of the late
Dorothy R. Caridi, loving father of Regina, Patricia, Valentina, Vincent Jr. and the late Alicia, cherished
grandfather of Jeannine, Andrea, Vincent and the late Jason Luisi and great-grandfather of Matthew Jake,
Angelina Marie, Kyle, Rayden, Gabriella, Tyler and Jacklyn Nicole. He was a U.S. Army veteran who
