The thanks of grateful Queens residents were offered to veterans of wars past and present during the Queens Veterans Day Parade held on Sunday, Nov. 9, in Middle Village. Hundreds participated in the march along Metropolitan Avenue between 80th Street and Christ the King Regional High School, where a closing ceremony was held. Marchers included local elected officials, scout troops, various veterans posts, schools, the Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps and the Long Island City High School Junior ROTC. Among those lauded at the march and ceremony were the grand marshals, Paul and Russ Feddern (bottom right photo), both of whom served the country during the Vietnam War.
