Veterans Share Stories with Students

Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder celebrated veterans from across the community at Take a Vet to School Day, held at P.S. 232 in the Lindenwood section of Howard Beach. Hosted by Principal Lisa Josephson, hundreds of students gathered in the school auditorium to pay tribute to local residents who served in defense of the nation. The program included musical performances, poetry recitation and words of kindness provided by the students to our veterans. As pictured, several veterans from the area attended. State Sen. Joseph Addabbo, the ranking member of the Senate Veterans Committee, was also on hand.
