Man robbed in Jackson Heights subway station: NYPD

The NYPD is looking for two suspects who allegedly robbed a man inside the elevator at the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street subway station in Jackson Heights Aug. 12. Just before 5 p.m., a man and a woman followed the 51-year-old victim into the elevator and demanded money, police said.

When the victim said he did not have any, the man pushed him and took a cellphone from his hand. The pair fled off the elevator and out of the station in an unknown direction, according to the NYPD.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man, in his 20s, around 6-foot-tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black-and-tan backpack, a red-and-black T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

His partner is described as a black woman in her 20s, around 5-foot-tall and 150 pounds, Her hair was in an Afro and she was wearing a black shirt, black pants and black shoes, police said.
