A St. Albans man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured in South Ozone Park.
Following an investigation, police arrested Pharoah Ferguson, 44, for the shooting. He was charged with murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to charges, between 5:10 and 5:45 a.m. on Jan. 28, Ferguson and an apprehended individual allegedly approached late model Mercedes Benz SUV at the intersection of North Conduit Avenue and 135th Street. Ferguson and the other individual then started firing multiple times into the vehicle.
The three victims with gunshot wounds arrived at the 69th Precinct stationhouse in Brooklyn. Paramedics responded to the precinct and immediately transported the victims to Brookdale Hospital.
Sherwood Beverly, 51, sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two victims, a 50-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the left shoulder and a 50-year-old male with a gunshot graze wound to the neck, are both listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
