Paint Party — Come enjoy a paint party. Make your own picture of Central Park in the fall at this fun, step-by-step class. This event is for adults ages 18 and over.

Business Show — Looking for a different kind of comedy show? Come to Business Show, the most professional stand-up comedy show in the business. Comedians and the audience will interview for a job on the show in an attempt to win cash, prizes and more.

“A Wrinkle in Time” — Enjoy a movie under the stars for free. NYC Parks and the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment are partnering to show “A Wrinkle in Time,” the 2018 movie based on the classic book.

“Composites” and “Memoir” — Enjoy two different dance performances in one night. Ramona Sekulovic will be dancing “Composites,” a series of abstract dances based on Philip Glass’ “Piano Etudes.” Inclined Dance Project will be performing “Memoir,” a reflection on their past 10 years as a dance company.

Christmas Fair — Ready for some holiday shopping? Come to the Christmas Fair at Redeemer Lutheran Church. They will have crafts, food, wreaths, plants and more for sale. There will also be lunch available for purchase at their Christmas Cafe.

Holiday Decorations — Bring the whole family to make holiday decorations at the Castle. The Bayside Historical Society will be serving hot chocolate and cookies during this fun workshop, and Santa will also make an appearance.

“Navidad” — Enjoy a special performance by the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company. The group will be dancing excerpts from their production “Navidad.” This event features live music and dance, a discussion of the story and an interactive workshop with the audience.

Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Celebration — Join Central Astoria LDC at its sixth annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Celebration. There will be live music, train rides, face painting, candy apples and more.

A Night To Remember — Gathering Time will be performing its concert, “A Night To Remember,” at the Hillcrest Jewish Center. The folk-rock trio will be singing songs from legendary Jewish artists including Bob Dylan and Billy Joel. A portion of the proceeds will be donated in honor of the Pittsburgh Tree of Life synagogue victims.

Live Cooking Demonstration — Watch a live cooking demonstration at the farmer’s market. Chef Alfonso Zhicay of Casa del Chef Bistro will be preparing seasonal dishes that will also be available for tasting at Greenmarket Bites. Food will be for sale at the market.

“Erasures” — Enjoy an opening reception for a new art exhibit. “Erasures” will show the everyday lives of immigrant working-class families of Flushing through poetry installations. Poet Rosanna Oh, who immigrated from South Korea at age 6, and graphic artist and filmmaker Loide Marwanga, a native of Kenya, collaborated on the project.

FEI Music: A Fusion Music Concert — Hear music from eastern and western popular culture at this concert. FEI Music: A Fusion Music Concert will feature everything from 1930’s Shanghai vintage style to Billboard top 100 tracks from 2018.

Science Story Time — Bring your preschooler to the Queens Library for fun science story time. Kids ages 3 and 4 will enjoy a story and hands-on science activities. This event is free, but space is limited. Arrive early to claim a free ticket.

Bazaar and Book Bonanza — Temple Beth Shalom will once again be hosting their annual Bazaar and Book Bonanza! They have books, clothes, toys, food and more at their vendors.

Day of the Ninja — Celebrate Day of the Ninja at the Queens Library. Kids ages 5 to 12 can dress up as ninjas, enjoy stories about ninjas and make a ninja craft at this fun story time party.

“Catbaret” — Come to “Catbaret,” a variety show hosted by self-proclaimed cat lady Gemma Smith. The theme for the show is Meowy Christmas and Happy Hannukats. Attendees will receive cat ears and be entered to win a prize.
