An F train rider was robbed inside the Van Wyck Boulevard-Briarwood subway station last week and police are searching for the couple believed to be responsible.

Police say the 36-year-old victim was inside the station at Queens Boulevard and Main Street near 84th Drive when he was approached by a man and woman just after noon on Thursday, Nov. 9. The two suspects, acting in concert, allegedly removed the man’s wallet from his pocket before running out of the station, police said. They were last seen walking westbound on 84th Drive.

Police from the 107th Precinct and Transit District 20 are looking for the duo in a grand larceny investigation. An NYPD spokesman was unable to say what the stolen wallet contained.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects on Nov. 10 and described the man as having a dark complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket over a red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.

The woman is described as having a dark complexion and medium build and was wearing a black jacket, black ripped jeans and red sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

The 107th Precinct has reported 519 grand larcenies so far in 2023, 50 fewer than the 569 reported at the same point last year, a decline of 8.8%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
