Help spread holiday cheer at Forest Hills Stadium’s toy drive, accepting donations until Dec 15

Tis the season of giving, and Forest Hills Stadium is calling on residents to help make the holidays brighter for local children.

Forest Hills Stadium is hosting its second annual Holiday Toy Drive from now until Dec 15. All gifts will be donated to Queens Community House to benefit Queens children ages 0 to 11. This year’s event is also held in partnership with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Queens Community House, and the West Side Tennis Club.

Interested residents are asked to consider donating STEM-focused toys appropriate for children of all genders, races, and backgrounds. All toys must be new, in their original packaging, and unwrapped. Multiple drop-off locations are listed throughout the borough for this initiative. The toy drive also features an Amazon Gift Registry for residents who are interested in donating but unable to drop off gifts in person.

The toy drive will culminate in a mid-day celebration at Forest Hills Stadium on December 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to partake in light refreshments and entertainment to mark the end of the toy drive.

Originally founded in 1975 and known as the Forest Hills Community House, QCH is a multi-site, multi-service settlement house serving Queens residents of all backgrounds. The social services organization has grown to include a network of services at 40 sites in 15 neighborhoods across the borough. The organization is committed to a holistic approach to supporting the immediate and complex needs of those needing QCH’s services. Programs are run with the goals of helping seniors and families in need of stable housing and providing educational resources for youngsters.
