Ground Broken For Law High School In Jamaica

The new High School for Law Enforcement and Public Safety and Police Athletic League (PAL) Community Center will be located on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and 166 Avenue in South Jamaica.
"The high school will afford our students with a unique opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of law enforcement," Giuliani said.
The Mayor was joined by Borough President Claire Shulman and school and PAL officials at the school site. The 897-seat high school and community center will open in September of 2003, one year ahead of the original schedule.
The new high school will feature a forensic science lab with an array of high-tech equipment. It will also contain an EMS (Emergency Medical Service) training room and a mock courtroom where students will experience the judicial process.
