BAYSIDE — Two men were arrested and their cars were confiscated last week for allegedly drag racing on Francis Lewis Boulevard in Bayside, police said.

Mario Madrid, 22, of Bayside was charged with reckless endangerment and having a speed contest, and Adam Almodovar, 22, whose address was not released, was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, reckless endangerment and having a speed contest, said 111th Precinct Community Affairs Officer Anthony Lombardi.

Both Madrid and Almodovar were accused of attempting to drag race from 35th Avenue to 32nd Avenue along Francis Lewis Boulevard at about 10 p.m. Monday, Lombardi said.

A red 1995 Honda and a black 1995 Honda were confiscated by police, Lombardi said.
