Professor Visits Hillcrest Jewish Center

Hofstra modern European history Professor Stanislao Pugliese presented an interesting and informative lecture on &#8220The Vatican and the Jews” at the Honorable M. Marvin Berger Memorial Lecture at the Hillcrest Jewish Center in Fresh Meadows recently. A crowd of 90 heard Professor Pugliese explain that Italy had long favored Jewish doctors to treat officials yet kept them in a ghetto where they could be easily converted.
