John J. (Sean) Prendergast passed away on May 2. Native of Garrymore, Killeenrevagh, Co. Mayo, Ireland. Member of the Boilermakers Union, Local #5, NY. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Cummins), for 53 years. Loving father of Mary J. and her husband Robert Rex and John P. Prendergast (Ret. Sergeant NYPD). Cherished brother of Patrick J., Martin and his wife Mary, in Ireland, Maureen in Calif. and the late Thomas (John’s twin brother), Michael and Evelyn. Dear brother-in-law of Betty Prendergast and Teresa Prendergast. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Arrangements were handled by the Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A funeral Mass was held at Queen of Angels R. C. Church. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery.
