New addition to Sterling Glen to spearhead outreach effort

Beth Lazarus of Bayside has been named community relations director of Sterling Glen of Forest Hills, located on 72nd Avenue. The assisted living senior residence is owned and managed by Sterling Glen Senior Living, the leading regional provider of senior housing options, which include seven independent, supportive and assisted living communities throughout Long Island.
A licensed social worker, Lazarus served as a community services regional coordinator for Liberty Management, which privately owns psychiatric hospitals and chemical dependency treatment centers. She possesses extensive experience in individual, group and family therapy in the areas of alcohol and chemical dependency and marital counseling.
A graduate of Adelphi University with a bachelor’s and master’s of social work degree, Lazarus also pursued doctoral studies and has earned numerous certifications as a hypnotherapist and an acupuncture detoxification specialist. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and professionally affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers, Employee Assistance Professional Association and New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
