Weprin honored with Service Award

Assemblymember Mark Weprin (second from left) received the Legislative Service Award from the Queens Flag Day (QFD) Committee at its 13th annual Awards and Recognition Dinner. The QFD Committee was established in 1994 in honor of the fallen soldiers and raise awareness of the sacrifices made by public service workers, military personnel and their families. QFD officials - Chair Barbara Quigley Barba (left) and Executive Director Dr. John J. Farrell, Sr. (right) - honored Weprin for his years of dedicated service to the community. Last year, the QFD gave State Senator Frank Padavan (second from right) the Legislative Service Award.
