Flower Power at APEC

State Senator Frank Padavan spends a moment with members of the Douglaston Garden Club during the celebration of National Estuaries Day at the Alley Pond Environmental Center. The sunny weather on Saturday, September 29 featured a good breeze, which kept the center’s signature windmill spinning. Padavan also spoke to a crowd of about 50 school kids and parents about the important work of the center. He revealed to The Queens Courier that an archaeological site had been discovered in Alley Pond Park - and expressed his support for a dig there.
