Ecology Books Gifted to P.S. 41

The booklet is an educational primer on past and ongoing efforts to protect Little Neck Bay and the surrounding Watershed, including Oakland Lake, and is being donated by Friends of Oakland Lake to area schools as part of the group’s Youth Stewardship Program.
The authors, Dyan Freibert (far left) of the Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC) and Aline Euler, Educational Director of APEC (third from right) were on hand at the January 11 presentation to discuss their work with (from left) Fifth graders Anna Kim, Ariana Stergiou, Andy Bow, Science Instructor Catherine Imperato and Parent Coordinator Mary Bow.
