    “Sunday Concerts @ Central: Latin Jazz Coalition” will take place on September 9 at 3 p.m. at the Central Library, which is located at 89-11 Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica. The group will be led by trombonist/composer Demetrios Kastaris. For more information, call 718-990-0700.
    Steve Wildman, a naturalist, broadcaster, author and artist, will be at the Woodhaven Library at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. The event will begin with a family program at the library from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a tour of Forest Park from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Woodhaven Library is located at 85-41 Forest Parkway and can be reached at 718-849-1010.
    The Flushing Library will hold “Celebration of Arabic Music & Dance” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 13. It will be presented by artistic director/dancer/choreographer Rayna. The event will include belly dancing, Arabic folk dance, and “theatrical surprises.” The Flushing Library is located at 41-17 Main Street. For more information, call 718-661-1200.
    “A Tribute to Sam Cooke, The Drifters and Ray Charles” will be held at the Rosedale Library on Monday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m. It will feature Richard Lanham. The Rosedale Library is located at 144-20 243rd Street and can be reached by calling 718-528-8490.
    On Saturday, September 20, there will be a special concert performance with Chris Caffery, a guitarist with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, at 2 p.m. A singer/songwriter, Caffery is also a member of the band Savatage. The performance will include solo material and Savantage songs. He will also perform music from his upcoming CD “House of Insanity.”
    David Bennett Cohen will perform a blues piano concert at the Forest Hills Library at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. Cohen is the original keyboard player for Country Joe and the Fish, a rock band from the ‘60s. The Forest Hills Library is located at 108-19 71st Avenue. For more information, call 718-268-7934.
    A classical concert featuring Natalia “the Saw Lady” Paruz will be held at the Flushing Library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. Paruz, a Queens resident, plays the musical saw. During the performance she will be joined by pianist Margrit Zimmermann.

    The exhibition “Beggars and Choosers: Motherhood is Not a Class Privilege in America” will be on display through September 27. The exhibit, which is being curated by award-winning historian and author Rickie Solinger, features 56 prints from documentary photographers. It “addresses current public policies on education, health care, housing, and incarceration [that] sustain poverty in the U.S.” and “show women being mothers, with strength, dignity and determination to stimulate new thinking about motherhood, public policy, media, and politics.”

    Eddie Palmieri will perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. He is a jazz pianist who is also a nine-time GRAMMY Award winner.
    On Saturday, September 27, baritone Robert Sims will perform at 8 p.m. He is the gold medal winner of the Enmark American Traditions Competition.

    The 26th Annual Antique Motorcycle Show will take place on Sunday, September 7. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will include a display of motorcycles along with music, farmhouse tours, hayrides, a petting zoo and food. Admission is $5 per person.
    The 26th Annual Queens County Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21. It will include blue ribbon competitions, a maze, pie-eating contest, corn-husking contest, Big Apple Circus variety acts, hayrides, a petting zoo, scarecrow making, carnival rides, bands, crafts and food. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

    The exhibition “Voices in Cloth: StoryQuilts” will be on display through September 14. It features story quilts and “soft sculptures” by Faith Ringgold, Linda Freeman and Grace Matthews. They display “a dynamic use of image and text and highlights personal and social narratives, familial love and the importance of our ancestors.”
