MLK Day is Sanitation holiday

The New York City Department of Sanitation has said that there will be no garbage, recycling collection, or street cleaning on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
In addition, all Sanitation Department administrative offices will be closed, they said.
Residents who normally receive Monday garbage collection should place their trash out at curbside on that Monday after 4 p.m. for pickup. Those normally receiving Monday recycling collection will have to wait until the following Monday, January 26.
For questions about Sanitation services and holiday schedules, call 3-1-1 or visit their web site at www.nyc.gov/sanitation.
