Life-saving donations in memory of a life

On Thursday, July 30, the West Hamilton Beach Volunteer Fire Department (WHBVFD)?received two life-saving suction units in memory of Kevin M. Delano, Sr., who passed away one year before, to the day, from injuries sustained in 9/11. The pieces of equipment were donated by Marge Centrone, an area lawyer. “She’s been a very big supporter of ours,”?Deputy Chief Jonah Cohen said of Centrone. “We want to show our appreciation to her and to Kevin’s wife.”
Also in attendance were Assemblymember Audrey Pheffer, State Senator Joseph Addabbo, City Council candidate Frank Gulluscio, and family and friends, including Delano’s widow, Rosanne.
