Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred on Saturday, September 5 at the corner of 37th Street and 34th Avenue.
The victim, say police, a 57-year-old woman, was walking at the location when she was approached by the female perp, who attempted to grab her handbag.
The victim resisted and tried to hold on to her purse, and that’s when the suspect knocked her to the ground and forcibly removed the handbag. She did not sustain any injuries according to cops.
The suspect fled westbound on 34th Avenue in a black SUV driven by an unidentified man.
That same day a woman fitting the description of the robbery suspect allegedly used the victim’s credit card to make an unauthorized purchase at a liquor store on 87th Street and 25th Avenue. A male then exited the location with the purchase, as seen on surveillance video.
The female suspect is described as medium build, 5’0″ to 5’4″, 165-175 pounds, wearing a dark-colored dress in the first incident and a black T-shirt over the dress in the second incident.
The male perp, of medium build, is between 5’7″ and 5’10”, 160-170 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants in the video as he exited the store.
