The Dr. William O. Benenson Rehabilitation Pavilion, along with program sponsor Flushing Savings Bank, introduced the nationwide Crime Stoppers Prevention Program. The objective of the program is to provide the safest possible living and working environment for staff, residents and visitors of senior housing communities by placing the issues of crime prevention, quality of life, reduction of liability and reduced cost of risk at the forefront of a zero tolerance crime format.
Since the inception of the program in 1994, the total number of crime incidents at participating facilities has been reduced by 92 percent. The Dr. William O. Benenson Rehabilitation Pavilion’s residents said that they are excited and happy to be part of the program.
