With the primary elections fast approaching, there is no better way to learn the candidates in your district than the candidate forums held on Queens Public Television (QPTV). Candidates will discuss critical issues concerning the economy, education, jobs and more with Queens Courier publisher Victoria Schneps-Yunis. With the influx of younger candidates on the ballots this year, Schneps-Yunis hopes that voter turn-out on September 14 will be extraordinarily high.
“With only 12 days till the primary, I am expecting and hoping that people will take time from their busy schedules to stop at the local polls which are open from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and have their voices heard,” said Schneps-Yunis. “Tune into QPTV and visit our election coverage to get acquainted with the people running for office.”
QPTV reaches a potential 400,000 viewers in Queens and will run forum coverage beginning on September 1 at 8 p.m. through the first two weeks of September. A finalized schedule of forums is currently available at queenscourier.com and listed below:
