Teachers need better students

We live in a culture where personal entertainment and a love of celebrity are king. This is especially true in youngsters of school age who were weaned on TV and videos as their "babysitters."

Apparently the need to be entertained, and very short attention spans, limits many children from achieving in the ordinary classroom situation. Learning takes patience! Learning requires active participation by the "learner." The "learner" must positively interact with the teacher in the learning process. The "learner" must be pre-motivated to learn before entering the classroom! Learning is not a one way street! It is a two way street!

Teachers are not supermen!
