Grand re-opening of Queens Library at Auburndale

FLUSHING – The grand re-opening of the Queens Library at Auburndale will take place on November 19 at 1 p.m. at 25-55 Francis Lewis Boulevard in Flushing. The newly upgraded facility now includes a teen area and new furnishings for the adult and children’s areas, new lighting and carpeting, and all new laptop counters. The technology upgrades to the facility include the installation of interior RFID technology for self check-in and self check-out of library materials. These new customer service upgrades will help reduce wait times for customers, as well free up library staff to assist more customers. In attendance at the re-opening will be Assemblymember Ann Margaret Carrozza, Councilmember Dan Halloran and Queens Library CEO Thomas W. Galante.
