The cement barriers that line the intersection of Centreville Street and 149th Avenue in Ozone Park have been painted to improve the appearance of the area.
The Department of Transportation (DOT), in partnership with the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit and New York Cares (NY Cares), painted the designs of Corinne Ulmann, winner of the DOT Urban Art Program’s latest Jersey barrier design competition.
The painting took place on Saturday, April 16, as the DOT supervised volunteers from around the city who lent a hand in the beautification.
