Decrease pensions and benefits to fund the city’s institutions

The politicians are always fighting. They are fighting the closing of firehouses, libraries and high schools.

It seems to me that if our legislators fought the wonderful pensions and health benefits municipal employees receive and that the public pays for, there would be enough money to stop the fighting and fund the necessities

In addition, those retired workers who now live and spend their pension and health care monies in Florida, Arizona and North Carolina are not doing the people of the city any good when it comes to having money to pay for municipal needs.
