Giving Back

We give New York Mets legend Darryl Strawberry a standing ovation.
He joined with the Douglaston Chamber of Commerce and hosted the first annual Douglaston Community Day at his restaurant, Strawberry’s Sports Grill.
On a perfect summer Saturday, hundreds of people crowded to the very special party outside and inside his family oriented eatery. Guests included former Mets champions like Kevin Mitchell and Bud Harrelson, who were joined by New York Giants punter Sean Landeta and N’Sync member Joey Fatone.
We were proud to be co-sponsors of such a worthy event which provided funding for the Darryl Strawberry Foundation “Fight Autism.”
