Queens evacuation centers

With six to 12 inches forecasted for Queens and a flood watch in effect, evacuation plans have been made for areas especially vulnerable during major storms.
Due to the potential flooding Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced hospitals, nursing homes and senior homes in low-lying have been evacuated. He also announced the mandatory evacuation of residents of the Rockaways by 5 p.m. Saturday.

• Belmont Racetrack Hempstead Turnpike and Cross Island Parkway
