Man argues with and then robs victim: Brown

ASTORIA — A 22-year-old man was arrested two weeks ago on charges of robbing another person following an early morning argument, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Evans Castillo, of Brooklyn, was arraigned Oct. 12 on robbery and assault charges, according to the DA’s office.

Around 2 a.m. Oct. 1, he got into an argument with another man near 33rd Avenue and 56th Street and he and some other men surrounded the victim, the criminal complaint said.

The group, who with the exception of Castillo had not been arrested as of press time Tuesday, allegedly knocked the victim to the ground and beat him up, according to the complaint.

During the beating, one of the men removed a chain from the victim’s neck before Castillo and the group fled in a car.
