New York City Parks Department Ranger Gabriela Padewska led an “Owl Prowl” through Alley Pond Park Sunday in search of the park’s pair of Great Horned Owls – one male and one female.

The wingspan of a Great Horned Owl ranges from more than three to nearly five feet in width.

Padewska said that the owls are often seen apart from one another, but were spotted together on Valentine’s Day and as well as Sunday.
