Middle Schoolers Have Lawmaker’s Ear

The American Legion Garity Post in Ridgewood held its annual Commander’s Dinner on Saturday

Last Tuesday, Mar. 20, City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer visited the eighth graders of I.S. 204, at 36- 41 28th St. near the Astoria/Long Island City border, to see their multimedia presentations on issues facing the community and hear their suggestions on how to solve them. In this photo, Council Member Van Bramer (center) is joined with eighth graders who presented their ideas about solving issues with litter, parking and the state of city parks.
