a Good Time for Vets In Howard Beach

About 125 veterans and their families-reportedly the largest turnout ever-were welcomed to State Sen. Joseph Addabbo’s fourth annual veterans’ barbecue, held outside his Howard Beach district office and VFW Post 2565 last Saturday, Aug. 25. Veterans and their families enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, ice cream and soda, served up by the lawmaker’s staff and volunteers. The crowd also was treated to music performed by a local singer and guitarist, Mary and John Wagner.
