A woman was injured after the car she was driving flipped over at the corner of 127th Street and Linden Boulevard in South Ozone Park early on Sunday morning, Aug. 19, Fire Department sources said. Members of Engine companies 303 and 275, Ladder companies 126 and 133, Squad Co. 270, Rescue 4, Battalion 51, the 106th Precinct, NYPD Emergency Services Unit 9 and EMS units responded to the crash. Fireefighters used the Hurst tool (commonly known as the “jaws of life”) to pry open the damaged vehicle and remove the injured woman. She was brought to a local hospital and is expected to make a recovery.
