Celebrating Columbus Day In Astoria

Assistant Chief Diana Pizzutti, the commander of Patrol Borough Queens North, was the grand marshal of the Astoria Columbus Day Parade, which marched marched up Steinway Street last Saturday, Oct 6. Joining Pizzuti (foreground at right) were (foreground, from left) Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas, State Sen. Michael Gianaris and (third from right) City Council Member Peter Vallone.
