Cops: Bicyclist Attacked Pre- Teen Girl

Wanted For Elmhurst Sex Assault

Police released on Tuesday night, Oct. 9, the composite sketch of a bike-riding man who molested an 11-year-old girl at an Elmhurst intersection earlier this month.

The suspect is described by law enforcement sources as a white male between 35 and 45 years of age, standing 6’2″-tall with a beard, wearing round eyeglasses and riding a black mountain bike with a black seat and red stripes.

Reportedly, the attack too place at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the vicinity of Whitney Avenue and Broadway.

Police said the perpetrator pedaled his bike up to the 11-year-old girl, who was also riding a bicycle, and asked for her assistance in fixing a problem with his ride.

Seconds later, according to authorities, the man sexually assaulted the girl, then fled from the scene on his bicycle.

The incident was later reported to the 110th Precinct; the girl was not injured.

Members of the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad are investigating the case.
